The one line story of Servent of God Fr. Armond Madavath’s seventy one years of life on this earth could be summarised as, a heart that experienced the Trinitarian love intimately and shared this love joyfully in a charismatic way with the touch of Franciscan simplicity. He was one of the pioneers of Charismatic movement in Kerala. In fact the first Charismatic centre in Karala was started by him at Bharanganganam where he preached the first Charismatic retreat on24th September,1976 at Assisi Renewal centre. Until he was called to his eternal reward on12th January 2001. He was canonized as a Servent of God on 13th July 2024 by Pope Francis. God renewed the lives of thousands of people through this simple friar who sang unceasingly about the joy of living in the company of God. His life was a true and eloquent ‘praise the Lord,’ in spirit and word.
